You can no longer afford to not be on point
Dear Nigerian,
I write this letter because whoever you are, and whatever you do, you have a role to play in setting standards which will guide whoever will fix this nation in the future.
Give your best, always!
If you’re a teacher, teach well.
One of those students will be in government someday and be responsible for the pension system that affects you.
If you’re a lawyer, you can’t afford to half-ass it … The cases you work on will set a precedent for deciding future cases.
If you’re a doctor, do your research and improve on your craft well.
People’s very lives depending on your decision to be excellent at what you do.
If you’re in Human Resources, your company’s, city’s, state’s or even nation’s corporate future depends on the decisions you make daily.
Do the damn job well.
If you are a social media influencer, what you choose to trend has a huge impact on people’s minds.
You’re responsible for what occupies the minds of the citizens of the nation.
Rubbish trends mean trash minds, and it’ll be your fault!
If you’re a religious leader, you have an immense amount of control over how people feel and think.
What you teach represents a huge percentage of the education a lot of adults receive after formal schooling.
Abusing such power would be a crime against humanity!!!
If you’re responsible for creating a company’s work culture, you are responsible for the assurance of excellence of a lot of workers.
You’ll get the blame if they fail to be excellent.
Here’s why …
It’s because we are no better than the government we blame for mediocrity and inefficiency if we are guilty of the same in our daily lives.
