Elijah Musical
I'm planning a Musical about the story of Elijah, to be presented by the Children at my Church, and I am very excited about this. This Musical was originally written by my Mother, and I remember rehearsing for it, and performing it as a child, so it's a very special project for me to be able to bring it to life again.

The Story
Elijah's story is one of the most well-known stories in the Bible. It takes place around 800 B.C. in the Kingdom of Israel, at a time when the Israelites were led by their King Ahab and Queen Jezebel to worship the Baal, a false god.
Elijah confronts the King, and declares that there will be no rain until further notice. This is a calamity. How will people eat? How will the crops grow? So after the Queen Jezebel calls for Elijah's head, Elijah flees to Cherith Brook.
At Cherith Brook, Elijah is fed by Ravens that God sends to bring him Bread and Meat. This is a Miracle. After Cherith Brook dries up, Elijah is told to go to Zarephath, and stay at the house of a widow woman.
At Zarephath, the Widow woman has only enough flour to make a final meal for her and her son before they die of starvation, but Elijah asks her to make a meal for him, and she surprisingly agrees. Her faith pays off massively when the Jar of Flour and the Jar of Oil never runs out throughout the duration of the drought, so Elijah, the Woman and her Son are well provided for.
After 3 years of Drought, Elijah returns to Israel, and challenges the prophets of Baal to a contest. Whichever God can answer a sacrificial offering with fire from Heaven, is the true God.
The prophets of Baal offer a sacrifice, and plead to their god to answer with fire. It takes all day. They're begging, crying, and even cutting themselves with knives to no avail, while Elijah is taunting them, asking whether Baal has gone on a journey, or gone to the bathroom, or what.
After they give up, Elijah sets up his sacrifice, and asks that Water be poured on the sacrifice to make it even harder for it to catch fire. He then prays to God, who promptly answers with fire from Heaven, which consumes the sacrifice, and even the water.
So GOD is the true God, and the prophets of Baal are nothing but false prophets to a false god.
It's a very powerful story, and I'm excited to be able to bring it to life in a new way.
The Music
To do this, I had to revive my Music Production skills, which I haven't used in more than a decade, so it was nice to buy a small Midi Keyboard, and start making some beats on bandlab.
